My name is Dan Litle and my son Jacob Litle was in a tragic car accident on 12/19/25 and did not survive. He has a son who turns 5 on 12/28/25. At this time, my grandson's mother is going through rough times trying to raise two young sons on her own. Over Thanksgiving weekend, she was also involved in a single-car rollover accident. She is okay physically, but her vehicle was totaled, and as a result, she lost her job because she cannot get to work subsequently losing her place to live. She is now currently staying with a friend.
Those boys need stability and consistency right now, so changing the area where their school is would not help. I'm trying to raise funds so she can #1 get transportation (I rented her a car for job interviews, but that is not very efficient). She didn't have luck with the job market. Technically, they are homeless. Her family lives in her son's school district, but the stepfather won't allow her mother to help. He threatened her with divorce over it. I, like most, work for an hourly wage and can only do so much financially. (We all have bills, right?)
#2 goal is to get her and the boys their own place to call home. As we all know, the housing rental market is overinflated, so most of us struggle with paying rent. I'm not asking for a lot from a few people, but a little amount from a lot of people can sure make a difference. The spare change you throw in the bucket at the store, the extra tip you leave for the barista—anything like that adds up. I will gladly post receipts for where the money goes.
I know it's Christmas and it's a horrible time to ask people for money, but it's not a great time for them either to go through that. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and if you find it in your heart to donate, thank you for that too.
