A Helping Hand While Battling Covid

Donation protected

My parents, Eloise and Wolf (Henrich Wolfgang) have taken quarantine seriously from the get go. They both had health concerns and determined that they wouldn't risk each other's well being. So the pandemic rattled on and they stayed home. No hugs, no dinners, just a lot of facetime calls and group chats. They followed the CDC guidelines to the best of their abilities.

A side note- Wolf has underlying health issues relating to an agonizing hit and run accident from 40 some years ago. His pain level is directly connected to his heart health. Maintaining his blood pressure is a top priority. He needs to keep his pain and his blood pressure under control.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago. They ran out of his blood pressure medication and mom's diabetes medicine. The doctor who had been writing it would not refill it without an appointment which cost $300. They had to switch to a free clinic,  So Wolf and Eloise went fully masked to drop off paperwork and set the appointment, nervous all the while. There were people in the waiting room wearing masks incorrectly, coughing, and just fueling the sense of unease. Pushing all that aside, they successfully submitted their paperwork and back home they went.  (THIS WASNT EVEN THE DOCTOR APPOINTMENT.)

Three days later, they started to feel sick. and then sicker, and sicker. Eloise seemed to be feeling better but Wolf didn't bounce back. He eventually asked to be taken to the hospital, he was having issues breathing among other symptoms. The hospital admitted him to the Covid ward after he tested positive.

Eloise has a positive test at this point too. Shes feeling better then before but she still has symptoms.

At this point we are uncertain how many days that Wolf will be in the hospital.
They are concerned about his liver and his kidneys , hopefully they are not taxed greatly by covid but he has been put on a transplant list just in case.
Granddaughter Liz and daughter Stephanie are close by so they have been dropping off groceries and meals.  I, daughter Ashley is physically located on the West coast and  can only do so much from 2,000 miles away.

The doctor's specifically said that stress is a huge factor in recovery so that's the hope and plan of this GoFundMe. Any little bit helps. We know that so many are struggling right now and that everyone's needs are great. We are just hoping to help them cover the bills for the next month or two so that they can not worry and stress about the bills when all they need to focus on is beating covid.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and consider my family. We hope that you and yours stay happy and healthy.
