A Helping Hand for the Homeless in Houston

As a person who has just graduated from college and was able to secure a full-time job working in downtown Houston, I am very grateful. I am grateful because I have resources, family, friends, a roof over my head, food, and clothes on my back. However, not everyone has that same luxury. Working downtown has open my eyes and made me realize how many homeless people are suffering on the street. Every block I turn there is a homeless person who doesn't have clean clothes, food, water, or toiletries to clean themselves. Due to the global pandemic, this has only gotten worse and it is our duty to help our fellow Houstonians in this time of need.

The donations that are put into this event will go into making 50 care packages that include a variety of things. This list includes a face mask, soap, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, among others. In another bag, there will be a turkey sandwich, chips, trail mix, applesauce, and water. T-shirts will be provided for these individuals as well.

I hope you will consider donating to this event and contributing to those who desperately need our help. It takes a village to get this done and we have to start somewhere, so let's start here.
