A Helping Hand for Ed

Ed was a Steam Fitter for 30+ years and because of this profession he developed Pulmonary Fibrosis and Asbestosis. Asbestosis was diagnosed 10-12 years ago and Pulmonary Fibrosis was diagnosed 2 years ago at age 68. Ed has recieved his lung trasplant and is exceeding the doctors expectations on recovery, but he still has a long way to go.  The feeding tube has been removed and he is tolerating some soft solid foods very well.  

Ed currently lives in Palm Coast, Florida and will be having staying in Gainsville, Florida (3 hours away) 

for 4 months after the surgery for follow up monitoring. Ed and his wife Trish, will be set up in a condo near the hospital for ease of hospital visits. Ed's insurance will cover most of the surgery, but will not cover everything and will not cover housing and extra expenses incurred.
Ed receives social security disability along with a small pension as their only source of income.
 
Your help is desperately needed and anything that you contribute will be used for the expenses mentioned above. Ed has recently been discharged from the hospital and is staying at a condo in Gainesville close to the hospital for daily therapy and testing.
