A help to support my mom's Cancer treatment

English Version:

16 years ago, my mom won a battle agains breast cancer. We had a lot of joy when we knew that she beated that sickness, but we were afraid that the cancer could come back at any time.

On November 2020, my mom was diagnosed with Cancer in her throat (esophagus), something that we never expected. We were shocked because getting sick in Venezuela it's not something good as there a lot of problems and crisis going on at this moment, but we knew that we should act fast to eliminate the cancer.

After more analysis, it was found another tumor in the base of the lung. The doctors said that we needed to start the treatment as soon as possible.

My dad, my grandmother and I were doing a lot to handle this situation but, unfortunately, the costs of the treatment, medical appointments, medicines and tools for my mom to receive the quimio are going out of our hands.

My mom need to first have a small surgery on Monday 18th, which will be to put her a catheter in the chest which will be used to dispense the quimio to her whole body since doing it through the veins in her hands could burn as the chemicals are quite strong. After 4 days of the surgery, she will start the quimio which will be between 4 to 6 cycles (1 cycle every 28 days). Besides this, in the second cycle of quimio, simultaneously, she will start the radiotherapy (for 33 sessions) as well.

We hope that with these 2 treatments (quimio and radio), the tumors (in the esophagus and lung) will be "killed".  This is a process that will take around months and it will be a challenge, not only financially, but mentally and phisically.

I'm attaching most of the medical report which show all the things that we've done so far.
