A heart to heart: Inese's trip to Vietnam

I believe we are here in this world for one another and we should serve others with the gifts God has given us. In my past I have experienced poverty and violence but God used it to create in me a merciful heart, sensitivity towards suffering,love for people especially those who hurt and willing to help them in a way I can.
Last few years I've been struggling with depression. During this time there were people who reached out for me and showed kindness,compassion and unconditional love. I knew it was God's love to me. I believe we (people) are His hands. In my heart I realized more and more that I want to serve people who hurt and show them God's love for them and be open to whatever God wants to do in me and through me. And then I received an invitation from a missionary in Vietnam to come and join her ministry for a while. She is a woman of faith who boldly fights for people who are the most vulnerable in the society. She has established old people houses where old people from the streets can live. She also runs a soup kitchen,children activities and other things where she sees the need.
My pastor once said:"If you are dissatisfied with something then probably it is your calling to do something about it." I am dissatisfied to see how people suffer and I want to do something to ease their misery. I am still searching what is my calling but I feel privileged to be invited to see and learn from a person who has devoted her life to serving God and people.
The raised money will go to:
1. Travel expenses to and from destination (Vietnam)
2. Visa for 3 months
3. Health insurance
4. Some first necessity things
