A Happy Holiday for CHD Warriors
The Waits family is raising money this holiday season to buy Wubbanubs and lovey blankets for the babies/infants in the Children’s Health Heart Center. We wanted a way to honor Mabry and the care she has received there (hospitalized there for 3 weeks at birth and continues to see Cardiology there on a bi-weekly basis) and this seemed fitting. In speaking with one of the Heart Center’s Child Life Specialist about wanting to make a Christmas donation, she said that many times it proves difficult to have enough baby related gifts for the babies hospitalized on Christmas Day. Often, a good majority of the Heart Center patients are less than a year old. Given Mabry’s love for her Wubbanubs and loveys, this seemed perfect! We would be so grateful to have you join us in providing these little heart warriors with a small comfort of their own. Thank you & Happy Holidays!
$1,000 would provide 35 babies/infants witha Wubbanub and a Angel Dear lovey (Mabry’s favorite brand). The Heart Center has approximately 46 beds but all aren’t filled with baby/infant patients.
