A Half Marathon to help with Kevin’s Therapy bills

Dear friends, my name is Trevor, I have known Kevin for 48 years after we met at lsleworth Grammar School, in 1973. We went our separate ways in 1978, sadly meeting only once before the summer of 2019, when a group of old school mates met up on our motorcycles. Both suave and dry-humoured, Kev ran a successful, private limousine business, where he got to drive and chat with some very famous music stars. At home, he and Alison selflessly fostered a number of children, providing them with all-important trust and security.

Most of all, Kev and Alison looked forward to their annual European motorcycle tour, 2-up on Kev’s bike. He loves riding… and Brentford F.C.; in fact he has a tatoo of a bee, the club's motif, on his chest, situated right above his heart! Sadly, however, the debilitating stroke he suffered in March 2020, coupled with a big fall this summer, mean he has tragically been robbed of speech and dexterity as well as the ability to work and do the things he loved most.

Whilst the NHS treats Aphasia patients, important ‘quality of life’ therapies come at a cost of c. £70 per hour. I shall therefore be running an unofficial Half Marathon on October 3rd to raise money to help cover some treatment bills for our friend. Will you please sponsor me? I’ll post my mileage and time here :). Thank you very much!
