A Guidebook: Inner Light & Embodied Eco-Poetry

I am happy to share that I am in the process of creating a simple, 16-or-so page guidebook called _Poet: There's a Spark within You: A guide to feeling your inner light and creating embodied eco-poetry_. I plan to be finished with this book and have it launched by mid-December, just in time for the holidays.
After teaching poetry (with a holistic approach) in community college classrooms, university classrooms, living rooms, hiking trails, and now over the gift of video chat, I've gathered some of my most vibrant lessons to share. I use the word vibrant because, when I learn these things as a poet, there is a light present in my body. Sometimes it feels like peace, but now I'm learning it can also feel like excitement. I made a promise to myself to only teach what I have learned. With this book, I hope to share with you what I have learned: I believe when we experience poetry (as listeners and readers) that moves us, we are experiencing a recognition of our inner light, and we feel a spark in our bodies. The same goes for writing: We experience a connection, a recognition of our inner goodness, and the spark is there.
It will cost me $49 to create print and e-books through a mainstream self-publishing platform. The particular way I self publish helps independent bookstores, too!
I wrote this guide for the whole world. I hope you will help this book find its way to readers. In essence, this guide helps poets find their inner light, nourish their connection to it, trust their companionship with the earth, and write from a place of great strength. The world needs this, yes? I think so, too.
