A greenhouse for Green Corn Project
Tax deductible
During this season of giving, please consider helping Green Corn Project raise funds to buy its first ever greenhouse. In years past, we have made do with borrowed greenhouse spaces and makeshift hoop houses to protect the hundreds of tomato, eggplant and pepper starts we plant every January in preparation for our spring garden installations, or "dig-Ins." Exaco Trading Company, a longtime supporter, has offered to sell Green Corn Project one of its high quality RIGA greenhouses at cost. We are thrilled about this opportunity and would be grateful for any amount you can donate to help us pay for our new greenhouse.
Green Corn Project (GCP) is a 501(c)(3) organization that educates and assists Central Texans in growing organic food gardens. With the help of many dedicated volunteers, GCP grows vegetable and herb transplants and plants them in organic food gardens at homes, schools, and community centers in and around Austin. Our programs help people with limited access to healthy food grow their own vegetables in ways that are affordable, promote self-reliance, strengthen communities, and protect natural resources.
