A good friend and a good human!

In April, my friend Janice was dealt a crushing blow. She was diagnosed with sinus cancer. This would be the second time in her life that she would have to go through something like this. She had been diagnosed with Leukemia as a teenager. After years of undergoing treatment, she beat it.

The years that followed were undoubtfully the best of her life. She met and fell in love with her soulmate, Cristina and became a mom to her pride and joy, Noah. Janice also turned her love of sports into a fulltime passion, and along with our friend Madeline, she built a softball team, named Lady Heat.

For almost 20 years the team has not only played together, but has cultivated life long, unbreakable friendships. When I joined the team and met Janice, I knew this was something special. The energy on and off the field was magical. It was something I had never known, it was way beyond friendship. It was the truest sense of family one could imagine. This bond was solely created and fostered by Janice. We played together, and more importantly; we were always there for one another.

In good times and in tough times.

Now the time has come where Janice needs us. The treatments have put a financial strain on her and Cris. I would like to take some of this strain off their shoulders, as they work to get through the treatments and cure Janice. I am asking everyone who reads this for a little financial help, not only for my friend in need, but for a beautiful soul, who gives all of herself to those around her. One of the kindest people I have met.
