Support for the children of favela Alemao

Recently I was lucky enough to spend a day in Complexo do Alemao, considered one of Rio De Janeiro’s most dangerous Favelas.   

I’ve started this page to raise money for the children of Complex do Alemao. I won’t pretend I know the complete situation here, but these communities live in pretty tough conditions. Poverty and the crossfire between gang warfare and police, mean too many little brothers and sisters are lost.

But the Favelas of Rio are also beautiful places! Love, Life, Energy and Joy fill the streets of these communities. The kids are especially amazing and will go a really long way if they had that little extra support.

The money raised will go towards existing organizations, who are currently doing amazing things, providing opportunities to kids and teenagers that we take for granted. These include education, arts,  dance, sports and various community programs.

I will give a complete breakdown of where the money is allocated.  If additional money is raised, this will be allocated to the broader programs helping Favelas all across Rio.
