A gift for Gucci

Dear Family, friends and animal lovers –
It is hard for me to make this plea and I am usually a very private person but my baby boy and best friend, Gucci, is having a medical crisis and I need help raising funds to cover his emergency stay at OVRS and surgery. Gucci is 10 years old and has a mass on his spleen that is leaking. He will need emergency surgery to have his spleen removed before the mass ruptures. Without this surgery his prognosis is only a couple weeks. Until they can get him in for surgery he needs to stay under observation at the ER.
I am one of the unfortunate ones who lost my job during COVID. I can’t imagine life without Gucci so I am humbly asking for your help.
A little more about Gucci. I rescued him from a dangerous situation in Pontiac ten years ago. He was so tiny (as tiny as a kitten), had no name, no collar and no medical. The people who had him were neglecting him – feeding a puppy adult dog food from their neighbor. I begged the owner to let me buy him (so that I could save him). The man saw how we were bonding and instead of making me give him money he just asked that I promise I would take care of him and give him the best life. And I have done just that for the last ten years and I know he deserves many more years. And just when I thought our bond could not be any stronger, COVID brought us closer – I must do everything I can to save him. He is the best cuddler, loves arm scratches and adores his teddy bear.
I know these are hard times for many of us – but I am hoping you can help me by sharing my story, donating and praying. Every bit helps – no donation is too small.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart (and Gucci’s).
