A generator for Nani and Abuelo

We are currently collecting any and all donations towards a generator for my grandparents who are located in Lares, Puerto Rico. As many of you may be aware, two massive hurricanes swept through their home, with catastrophic effects to all residents. As a result of the two powerful hurricanes, the entire island remains without power, with many scrambling to find a means of survival. Despite what seemed to be ample preparation, the lack of electricity leaves them without a way to wash their clothes, cook, or keep refrigerated food. Also, simply watching some TV to ease the situation wouldn't hurt either. With this sum of money my family will purchase my grandparents a generator that will allow them to get themselves back on their feet, and work towards living life as they knew prior to these disasters.

My grandparents have lived in Puerto Rico for a majority of their lives, and have always been fighters. As they approach their elder years, they remain healthy. However, with the initial lack of water and current loss of necessary electricity, my grandpa has already lost over 7 pounds and he and my grandma are desperate to do what they can to survive in their current situation. This generator would be a blessing and a necessity and we appreciate your consideration in donating to fund its arrival to them.
