A fundraiser for the loved Lex Mason

An update*** - we are so overwhelmed by this incredible support and are going to aim to use the funds to contribute towards a device and some therapy that might really help Dad with his treatment. We don't expect anymore but readjusting our target to reflect this. Thank you again for your AMAZING support. Dad is beyond grateful and loves you all.

My dear Dad, who to date has been an active, incredibly bright, funny and amazing all round 68 year old, recently lost the ability to speak (some 8 weeks ago) and after some investigation, was found to have a lesion on the brain. After surgery last Monday 18 July, we were given the devastating news that he has stage 4 glioblastoma - a cruel, aggressive and fast acting cancer that could see him with us for as little as 6 months (but of course we hope for more).

He will need to undertake raditation and chemotherapy, travelling daily to the hospital from his home along with ongoing speech therapy and a vast array of other support as the tumour progresses. We also hope to purchase him some speech aids to allow him to communicate with the friends and family he loves so dearly in the time he has left.

We appreciate ANYTHING you might be able to do to help out to support Mum and Dad in this truly unexpected and horribly shocking situation.
