Times Record News Victims of Contractor Fraud
Mr. Roberts (a 24 year service member of the Army) and his elderly wife were swindled for thousands of dollars by a local contractor here in Wichita Falls. They were left without a usable kitchen having to wash dishes in the bathroom sink and tub. Hobart's wife Shirley became ill after learning the contractor was not going to return and ended up in the hospital with anxiety and other related life-threatening health issues. In addition, the contractor had taken a large part of their retirement savings leaving the couple afraid they could not take the chance to rebuild their kitchen.
Good Local contractors have helped them get the lights in their kitchen working and fixed the electrical after over a year of living in these bad conditions, but we need your help to get them working cabinets, counter-tops, and several other odds and ends to get things working for them properly.
Support for this couple so far has literally brought them to tears, and we're hoping to bring a few more tears of joy as this couple gets to enjoys a working kitchen, actual counter-tops and functioning cabinets. The money will also go to fixing sheet-rock, some framing issues and a back-splash.
