I don't think I really need to say much at all here about the incredible work of Marymount University Hospital & Hospice and the Mercy Cancer Care Centre. In a last minute (possibly very silly) decision, I will be running, slowly, on Sunday in the Cork City Marathon. In typical fashion, I missed the entry deadline for the half, so will run alongside my students' relay team for as long as possible from 8.30am. Hoping to break the 21km mark in one piece having completed the half marathon last year, albeit without the current niggles! If I manage to get a fiver per kilometre I'll match it myself for every kilometre I complete. Anyone who knows me well knows I've spent quite some time out in Curaheen with older but dearly cherished family members and their work is simply admirable. Thank you sincerely, any donation at all would be much appreciated. P. S. Please don't tell my physio!!!
