A Fire Took My Daughter's Home
Donation protected
At 11 p.m. on July 19th, my daughter, Sara Gillen and her three children lost their home in a devastating house fire. Within 30 minutes after laying down for bed, the home was engulfed in flames near the kitchen. The banging on the door from a neighbor, and the popping of things catching fire in kitchen caught my granddaughters attention and she went to see what she thought were fireworks popping. Upon seeing the smoke in the kitchen, she ran and woke up Sara, even going so far as to hold Sara's nose closed to protect her from the smoke she had just seen. Firefighters said the family had 4-5 minutes before its possible it may have been fatal. The two family cats passed away in the fire. We are giving glory to God that they made it out alive!! Everything in the home is a complete loss, and as devastating as that is, Sara is staying very positive and feels very blessed to have her community rally around her and lift her up right now. Thank you for all your support and donations and prayers. May you be blessed!
