A Fathers gift A Daughters Donation

4 years ago our family received some news that would rock our world.
The strongest man we know and trust was diagnose with Renal failure. His Kidneys were failing and the only thing that could be done is dialysis until a Donor was found.

During these past 4 years, Not only did my father work full time and did whatever was asked,  he also would go to dialysis 3 times a week and endure several medical procedures that left him in the hospital for days to recover.  Not only was the battle for the kidney failure, he also had a spinal fluid leak, several heart stint operations and a artery bypass. with these procedures complete we were now able to move forward with the kidney transplant.

In October of 2017, my father was accepted into UCSF Kidney transplant program. From there, my sister Erica had stepped up and jumped through incredible hoops to provide a transplant of her kidney to our father. In May, 2018 we received News that Erica's Kidneys are in amazing shape and would be a great candidate for the transplant. Now the waiting game began. We were given a window of 3 to 6 months to find a cross match as Erica was not the same blood type as our Father.

As we sit here today the long road is now close to the finish line. The light is upon us!!! My father has overcome so many obstacles that were placed in front of him and has another large one to go.

On July 2nd, 2018 we received a call from UCSF. A cross match was found!!! 8 people (4 pairs) were all going to go under to donate and  or receive the kidneys! We were given a potential date for the surgery for August 8th!!! This news has been the best thing that could happen to us!!

Our father, Clifford is the most honest, kind, caring, genuine person that we love more then anything. He will do anything for anyone, yet give you tough love if needed. We are asking for donations for my Sister Erica to help pay for her continuing Education for her Masters Degree. Since the transplant will leave her out of work for 6 to 8 weeks, we are trying to minimize any financial impact the transplant might take on her.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Our family can not thank you enough for even reading this. Thank you all for your love and support during this time and we look forward to updating you all on the progress!!!
