A Dwelling for the Director!

Tax deductible
We are a Christian camp that strives to serve our churches and be a blessing to the many people of New England and the Northeast. Camp Northfield was established to provide spiritual instruction, wholesome activity and suitable facilities, all of which shall promote the glory of God. With a ministry this widespread, we are constantly improving the campus, and starting new events. All of this is done with one family, and through volunteers.

Camp Northfield maintains 15 buildings on 50 acres of land. This is a lot for one family and volunteers to keep up with, so we need help! A group of interns will vastly increase productivity, as well as provide possibilities to do more with this ministry.

This fundraiser was established for two reasons: One, to accommodate the director and his family, and two, provide a residence for additional interns. The house in which the director and his family is staying in now is only a one bedroom house. It is simply not big enough for their growing family. The goal is to build a 4 bedroom house for the current director, and to provide additional room if a director in the future has a larger family.

Once a new home is built, the director's family will move in, and their previous home will be converted into a dormitory style home that will house four interns. Camp Northfield is excited to partner with Maranatha Baptist University and participate in their Bride to Campus Program. Through this program, our interns will have the unique opportunity to work in a camp setting, while also attend classes for an associates degree or bachelor's degree. This degree can be completed exclusively while staying on our campus.

We are tasked with the responsibility of raising $165,000 for this project. This seems like an astronomical amount until just recently! We have had a group of contractors that are going to donate $40,000 of labor and machinery costs to do all of the site work and lay the foundation. This is a very large step for us! Once we raise an additional $60,000 in cash, this work can begin. The contractors are confident that they can lay the foundation, frame the house, wrap it in Tyvek, and put a roof over it to protect the investment. Once the additional $65,000 in finances are raised, the work on the inside of the home with sheetrock, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, etc... will begin.

We are hoping to get started by August 2018, and we need your help. Again, once we raise $60,000 in cash, the work can begin. Will you pray and ask the Lord if you can help in any way for this project?

Check out the progress of our fundraiser!
