Here I go,
As some people Know , in 2010 I was told I had bowel cancer And If I didn't do anything I would be dead within 2 years .They told me also that if caught early it would go well, So I did something , I put my hand up for a world trail that lasted for 5 years .In feburay of last after alot of mri's, cat scans, xrays , I was given the all clear and told I was one of the lucky one's .
What made me think that something was wrong , I was driving down the road and sneezed, it felt like someone punched me in the back as hard as they could , I found out I had cracked a rib , then one morning when I stood up nearly fell over becuase my right leg was numb. the feeling did come back , the doctors say the numb feeling is all part of the condition.
In September last year after many more test's through my GP , who was frustrated because nothing was showing up he sent me for ANOTHER mri . That was when I found out I now have Mutiple Myeloma. The book the Leukaemia Foundation gave me, on the very first page, unlike the bowel cancer prognosis (that being a good outcome ) the first line I read was that This one is incurable but treatable .That treatment last's forever ..And after treatment ,some people last anywhere from 1 to ten years .However it will come back .

I have been having Kemo for nearly 7 months now. Maybe another month of that ,then a bone marrow transplant . Not looking forward to that, I just read another Leukaemia book about that ,all I can say to quote an old tv commertial ( NOT HAPPY JAN).
It has taken me a lot to ask for help however, I have tried to go on a disability pension and have been told no ,Not untill my treatment has finished . Both my GP and Haematolgist say I should be on the pension because my treatment won't stop it will be ongoing till I die.
Any help would be much appreciated .
As I have stated , I don't like asking for help after the first cancer my insurance company said that If I let my insurance go I would uninsurable . I had to let it go ! My youngest Daughter at the time needed to be insured more than I , and besides my cancer was cured ( the bowel cancer that is )
I see my haematolgist next Thursday to find out more about this ongoing saga.
All the drugs they have put me on, one of them was causing my liver to fail, another one gave me blood clots in my lungs , now I have to take another drug to stop that from killing me .
Any funds will help with bill's, transport ext,and some medication. as soon as possible , as the bone marrow transplant is coming soon and I will be in hospital for up to six weeks if every thing goes well, longer if any complications.
