A day of Jazz at the Ringwood Lake

A free event for community wellbeing – live music with 8 bands, food trucks, face painting - fun for the entire family.

As Melbourne emerged from lockdown in early 2022, we held the first Jazz At The Lake at the Ringwood Lake Park’s sound shell.

The event was attended by over 600 people of all ages, enjoying picnics, dancing, lots of smiles and all bound together by the live music.

The audience told us that they loved it and wanted it again.

Funding for the 2022 event came principally from the local Council but they do not support recurrent events and have made only a small contribution towards Jazz At The Lake 2023. So, Community Music and Performances, Inc. (a registered not-for-profit organisation) is seeking funds to run the event.

The largest cost is hiring the audio engineer and equipment. Last year, he spent over 14 hours at the event and brought a lot of expensive gear. He did such a fantastic, professional job, we’d like to get him back again.

Your support of this event will cover the audio. Of course, it will cost much more than that to stage this event and we are pursuing other avenues for the other expenses, e.g. bands, first aid,… .
