A cure for our mom Cheryl - Pancreatic Cancer

Donation protected
A medical fundraiser for Cheryl Denomee Kline

On October 22, 2023, our kind, beautiful, thoughtful mother was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer. Our family has been completely devastated by this news, there are no words that describe our heartache. She is a grandmother, sister, aunty, partner, and mother, she is a huge part of so many of our lives. Our mom has spent her life serving the community, she has worked for fundraising organisations such as the Kidney Foundation, Missing Children's Society, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation, giving her time and artwork to raise money for these causes. She always has time for those who need her; she loves with her whole heart and gives everything she can back to others. Mom looks forward to her time with family and friends above all else. She is known in the community as a talented artist, an avid gardener, and a local beekeeper.

This lethal illness threatens to take her away from all of us. Mom is currently not a candidate for surgery, which is the only cure available in Canada for this type of cancer as options are severely limited. While chemotherapy is currently part of the treatment plan to keep this disease at bay, it is not curative, oncologists indicate that the cancer will gradually become resistant to chemo treatments and there are no other viable standard-of-care treatment options within Canada.

We have researched and sought out alternative clinical opinions from various doctors, hospitals, and other pancreatic cancer patients. Through this process, we have found a credible way to move forward with a medical doctor named Dr. Jason Williams, who has been at the forefront of immunotherapy and ablation procedures, perfecting them for the past two decades. Following a consultation with Dr. Williams, and speaking with several of his pancreatic cancer patients for which this treatment has been successful, we have regained our hope and drive to fight this horrible disease! This treatment offers the possibility of a cure for our mom.

Dr. Williams has offices in the United States, but he must practice and carry out these life-saving innovative procedures at the Williams Cancer Institute in Mexico. The treatments are not covered by any form of insurance and we will not have any financial support for the cost of treatment, and travel costs. We anticipate a minimum of 3 trips to Mexico will be required to receive care. While our mom has hesitated to even have a Go Fund Me, the reality of the situation is we need help to make this viable option.

We set this Go Fund Me account up because we love our mom and we want her to have the very best chance at beating this disease. We want our mom to have many more years with all the people she loves. As a family, we humbly ask if you will consider a financial contribution in order to help with the cost of this life-giving treatment. We will be forever grateful for any help to find a cure for Cheryl!
