A couple weeks at Duke

Christy will be at Duke at least through August 28th.  Her kidney seems be going through three kinds of rejection. To filter out the antibodys, they will do 6 plasmapheresis tratments. She has had an immunoglobulin treatment and a blood transfer. A biopsy also showed some scarring in the kidney so they don't think it will recover completely. They think more expensive medicine and dialysis will be in the future.

Maybe the expense of this stay will qualify her for Medicaid. We don't know much about that yet.

If you feel like helping out with a contribution, Christy would be grateful for any donations that would help provide 'non-hospital' food. Not to mention gas for travel and other items.
