A computer for Ousmane

Donation protected
THANK YOU generous community of friends & family!! We made our goal for the computer! If you'd still like to donate, Ousmane could use money for other school supplies, and if we raise, enough, better living accommodations. My Senegalese brother, Mbouille, will deliver the money to Ousmane once he returns from winter break in mid-January (he's in his home village right now.)

Ousmane Mane is a young Senegalese man who grew up in Manthiankani, the village where I lived during my Peace Corps service from 2000-2002. He defied all odds and through many years of hard work has made his way to study at the Cheikh Anta Diop University in the capital of Dakar. This is no small feat for a young person originating in a small agricultural village of 220 people with no running water or electricity. In the region where Ousmane comes from, there are virtually no professional opportunities outside of farming.

Ousmane has reached out to me asking for help in obtaining a lap top for his studies. He's currently at university without a personal computer and needs to go to noisy, crowded computer centers to complete his assignments. He can get a laptop through his university for $350 USD.

Please consider helping this bright young man on his academic journey. In Senegal, when one person succeeds, it ripples out to have a profound and positive affect on many others.
