Hi, my name is Maral Abrahamian. I recently reached out to our good friends at HDIF (Homeland Development Initiative Foundation).

A little about HDIF- HDIF’s overreaching goal is the initiation, facilitation, and nurturing of sustainable economic development initiatives in Armenia. A tangible benchmark we are striving for is the creation of 1,000 employment opportunities within 5 years. While the creation and sale of traditional handicrafts is our main focus, opportunities in tourism and events such as festivals also provide a rich opportunity for sustainable economic development.

So the story goes.... I asked how we, in the US could help (outside of purchasing from HDIF). What did HDIF need most to help with business? The request was a new computer. The computer will serve many areas of the initiative, such as keeping track of inventory, sales and much more. I asked HDIF to email me the specifications of their request. After receiveing the email , I included my my ever so intelligent Husband, who builds computers as a hobby. After reviewing the details and further conversation with HDIF, a supply list was comprised- we are looking at approximately $2500. This includes insured shipping to Armenia. We would like to get working on this computer ASAP- and have it out to Armenia by early June. Thank you in advance for your support.
