<div>I will attempt to keep this short, despite the tragedy. I am doing this for my friends <strong>Paul and Lucia</strong>, who are in desperate need as a result of a truly tragic medical condition.

<div>Paul and Lucia are good friends of mine. I have known Paul specifically for close to 20 years. This friendship started when he was a Mortgage Loan Officer and continued through the years as he transitioned into being a Real Estate Agent, real estate investor, and even a Real Estate Broker. Paul's wife, Lucia, is a beautiful soul and has followed a similar path alongside Paul as they were making lifelong dreams come true. Roughly 5 years ago, they lost everything in a house fire. Despite the loss, they never lost a positive attitude and rebuilt a new home without slowing down. Last October, they sold that house to make a move out of state for a simpler and more enjoyable life. Then a freak change occurred. The morning they sold the house that they had rebuilt, Paul woke up perfectly fine physically, mentally, emotionally, and intellectually. That afternoon, after signing the papers and leaving the title office, something flipped like a light switch. Suddenly, Paul was not okay. Inside the span of just a couple of hours, he lost his memory, most emotions, and much of his intellectual capacity. To best describe the situation, he went from a perfectly normal man to late-stage Alzheimer's in hours. After much searching for answers, doctors belive Paul has Non-Amnesic Alzheimer's,  which means that his memory is mostly intact, but his executive function is gone. He can't use money, drive a car, cook food, use the bathroom, etc..  but he remembers almost everyone from his past. This is something that is somewhat rare, even for doctors who deal with Alzheimer's every day.  Paul has continued to lose more awareness, mental and intellectual capacity, and emotions each day. Bills are stacking up faster than anyone would like to imagine, and Lucia can't work. This is because Paul can't be left alone, and no help is available via disability, SSI, Medicare, or anyone else until Paul has had no income for at least year. At that point, he will likely no longer be with us. Lucia is struggling each day with massive trials from dealing with her husband, who is dying in front of her each day, has lost more than half his body weight, and can no longer take care of himself in terms of basic things like using the restroom, getting dressed, or even understanding what is happening to him from one moment to the next. Lucia is living what can only be described as a living hell of trying to survive, find money to eat, or even have water and electricity, because the place they bought to live after they sold the house last October is off-grid. They were supposed to have been self-sufficient within a couple of months, but given Paul's condition, that simply isn't possible. Lucia is trying to manage the chaos and take care of Paul as best she can with no money coming in, and no help from anyone in terms of medical help, adult diapers, special foods for Paul, and the list goes on. Currently, Hospice has been called in to help manage his decline until he passes. <strong>Please, if you can help in any way, in any amount, consider helping Lucia; she needs help in the most dire of ways.</strong>
