A car for kids and The Player for Life Initiative

So first of all I want to thank all of you for checking out our go fund me matter. I have been working together with Julius Kazungu, the founder of the Player for Life Initiative Uganda for a couple of years now. His organization involves children and young adolescents in sport programs in order to better their chances to evade a lifelong poverty and drug addiction in the ghettos of Kampala.
Julius' dedication for the organization as well as his unyielding passion for social work already inspired many people in Europe to spend time in Uganda working for different branches of the organization. However money does not come easy, which is why we meet on here: Julius (and by that the organization) does not own a car which makes it significantly difficult for him to enable the kids to participate in numerous sport events such as tournaments for which they often trained for many months ahead of. A large amount of the organizations already scarce financial means is being used to pay for rental cars in order to make it possible for the kids to participate in life-changing events.
Our goal is to raise enough money to buy a car in order to better the organizations monthly financial situation by lowering the monthly costs of transportation and optimizing the opportunities given to the kids. The vehicle shown below is what we agreed on, however we set the donation goal just below the price given to us by the dealership in hope of a better deal in the near future.

Zuerst einmal vielen Dank für Ihr Interesse an unserer go fund me-Angelegenheit. Ich arbeite bereits seit mehreren Jahren mit Julius Kazungu, dem Gründer der Player for Life Initiative Uganda zusammen. Seine Organisation arbeitet in Sport- und Sozialprogrammen mit Kindern und jungen Erwachsenen in den Ghettos von Kampala zusammen, um ihnen eine neue Perspektive zum sonst von Armut und Drogen geprägten Leben zu geben.
Juliusses Hingabe sowie seine ungebrochene Leidenschaft für soziale Arbeit haben bereits einige europäische Bürger davon überzeugt selbst tätig zu werden und die Organisation vor Ort mit ihrer zu unterstützen. Geld wächst jedoch auch in Uganda nicht an Bäumen, weswegen wir uns auf dieser Plattform treffen: Julius (und somit auch die Organisation) hat kein eigenes Auto, was es ihm deutlich erschwert den Kindern eine Teilnahme and wichtigen Sportereignissen. Somit fließt ein Löwenanteil der finanziellen Mittel der Organisation jeden Monat in Mietwägen u.ä., um den Kindern unvergessliche Erlebnisse, wie beispielsweise die Teilnahme an einem Sportturnier mit gleichaltrigen zu ermöglichen.
Ziel dieser Spendensammlung ist es, genug Geld für ein Auto zu sammeln um die laufenden Kosten der Organisation zu senken und die Möglichkeiten der Kinder zu optimieren. Das unten gezeigte Fahrzeug liegt momentan in unserem Fokus, wobei wir den Zielbetrag leicht unter dem Kaufpreis angesetzt haben in der Hoffnung, dass wir vielleicht noch besser Angebote in naher Zukunft einholen können.
