A Car for Josh

When Josh heard there was a death in his best friend's family, he wanted to be helpful and supportive. But there was a good 6 hours in between them. How would he be able to help?
If it wasn't for Covid-19, Logan would have flown home to be with his family. They needed his help and support during this hard time, and he wanted to be there for them. They just lost a very close family member far before her time.
Logan lives in LA, but his family is in West Virginia. He felt it was safer to drive home than to fly. So he did. He made plans to drive across the country, spend a few weeks sorting through everything, getting some quality time in with his family, and trying his best to support them all through a difficult time.
Josh had found his way to help Logan.
He lent Logan his car for the trip. Sure, Logan had to get to Phoenix first, but then they would trade cars. This was how Josh could help out. Offering his car which had cruise control, got better gas mileage overall, and had less miles on it. It was a kind and generous offer that really did help out tremendously.
A few weeks later, Logan was finally headed home, nearly half way back to Josh on a fairly uneventful road, when a large piece of a truck fell into the road. (Which someone had called in right away). In a moment on the road, face to face with a large object, traveling at the higher speed of a highway, Logan didn't have much choice in how to avoid the large piece and collided with the heavy object. He and his passenger were lucky enough to walk away relatively unharmed. Had they hit that piece in any other way on the highway, they might not have walked away from it. Unfortunately, Josh's car was totaled from the impact. Air bags deployed, transmission destroyed. Thanks to someone calling the road hazard in, Highway Patrol was there to help pretty quick.
Josh is a humble man. He is always willing to listen to others, he thinks about ways he can help people in need, and he is willing to be patient through all of life's challenges. While no one could have seen this challenge coming, and thankfully he has insurance, once they total it out, it won't be enough for an equivalent car without also financing the remaining amount.
This is where the GoFundMe comes in. Poor Josh was just doing something generous, and poor Logan who was so careful and respectful with Josh's car, feels like this is all his fault. Both men were just trying to do the right thing for those they care about. And 2020 had to show them what it was capable of. (Again, we thank God they are alive and well)
My name is Tiffany and I am friends with these two great men. Logan is always looking out for me and taking care of me. He has been selfless in so many ways by dedicating his time and energy to me and anyone around him who needs help. Moving, getting motivated, running errands, you name it, he'll be there.
I'm hoping to take some pressure off Logan, and I'm trying to help Josh out so he isn't left without a car. If a few people were to donate a little, it just may add up to enough extra to hopefully allow him to get something comparable, safe and modest. Taking on a car payment right now would be a tough burden on him, and I am hoping we all might be able to help prevent him needing to take out a high interest loan.
