Hi!
My name is Jayden Lapointe and I’m an 18 year old vocalist from Danvers, Massachusetts. I am extremely blessed and thrilled to have been accepted to A Cappella Academy, a 10-day vocal camp held in Los Angeles. Approximately only the top 13% of auditionees are accepted, so when I found out I had been given this opportunity, I was in awe (and still am).

For as long as I can remember, singing has been a strong passion that I have been continuing to pursue. Growing up surrounded by music, I was inspired to take on vocal lessons beginning at the age of 8. From there on, I became actively involved in school choirs, music groups, instruments, etc.. I would always be sitting in the audience at my town's a cappella shows, and I knew that's where I wanted to be one day. Finally high school came around, and I'm able to say that actually being apart of these groups has had an enormously positive impact on my life. Music has become my outlet for expression, stress relief, gaining confidence, and creating so many bonds.
A Cappella Academy has given me the amazing opportunity to grow as a musician and be immersed in an environment alongside less than 100 people who love to do the same. I am beyond excited to spend 10-days focusing on what I love doing most, and learning more about the technical skills within a cappella.
The camp's tuition comes to $2,250 (not including travel expenses to and from LA from Boston). As I will be heading off to college in the fall, my ultimate goal is to raise enough money in order to attend camp and take off any financial strain from my single mother.
