A Capitol Idea! Headed to Sac

My 8th grade history students need bus transportation to the State Capitol Building in Sacramento  to view their modern-day lithographs. They will see their very own work displayed in the halls of the Capitol which will be visible to the public from March 20- April 4th.

Over 95% of the students where I teach are at-risk economically. They seldom travel out of the local area. Only one of my students has ever been to Sacramento!

While in Sacramento, students will take a docent-led tour, learn about U.S. history, and view the legislature in action!  This Project-Based Learning experience is designed to inspire students to become future leaders and, even, legislators!
