<div>Ramon Sanchez, lovingly known as Monie, has been a vibrant force in the music world since his teenage years — a master of the keyboard and trumpet, a friend, a mentor, and a constant giver to those in need. At 66 years young, Monie is known not only for his talent but for his enormous heart. He’s always been the first to step up and organize fundraisers for others — now it’s our turn to give back.

<div> The Diagnosis

<div>Monie has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, a rare and devastating lung disease that causes irreversible scarring in the lungs. The condition makes it increasingly difficult to breathe, and unfortunately, there is no cure.

<div><strong>Average life expectancy post-diagnosis: 3 years</strong>

<div><strong>Only chance of survival: Double lung transplant</strong>

<div> The Journey Ahead

<div>Monie is currently on the transplant list at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. His path to healing includes:

<div>2+ weeks in ICU post-surgery

<div>At least 4 additional weeks in a hospital unit

<div>Followed by an extended rehab stay, length unknown and based on recovery
