A. Baptista Memorial Scholarship

Donation protected
Alex and Arsenia Baptista instilled the values of education and service to others.  Born in 1940 in the Philippines, they moved to Honolulu, Hawaii in the 1960s, and embodied the Aloha spirit.  In the late-1970s, they moved to California and created a wonderful life for their family, church, and community.  The Baptista couple was well known for their selfless acts of kindness for others, their faith in God, and their leadership in the United Filipino-Americans organization.  In honor of Alex’s work in the health care field and Arsenia’s work in science and technology, they instilled the values of the importance of education and of giving back to the community in service of others.

Their legacy lives on in their children, granddaughter, and pets, all of who are devoted to education and public service.  In turn, the Baptista family would like to set up the A. Baptista Memorial Scholarship to carry on their legacy for generations to come.  This fundraiser will help offset the costs of working with a non-profit scholarship management service to market and disburse merit-based scholarships to students.
