A 5-Year Memorial Fundraiser for MJ

Family and Friends,
In honor of my Mom, Marijo Gordon, who passed away on February 20th, 2013, I am raising money for the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation.
About Marijo
As many of you reading this will know, Marijo died five years ago from a brief fight with lung cancer. What I remember most about my Mom was her resilient and caring spirit where she would make the most out of any situation. She cared deeply about her friends, family, and anyone who came across her path during her life. In her memory, I am starting this fundraiser for a highly regarded charity in the hope that they can help find a cure for lung cancer.
About the ALCF
The Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Fund (ALCF) was the highest rated lung cancer charity that I could find. 80 cents out of every dollar donated makes its way to program funding (compare to 73 cents Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or about 90 cents of American Red Cross).
Giving through GoFundMe
GoFundMe is going to charge about 8% on your donations (3% credit card processing + 5% margin). You will be able to write off any donations made on GoFundMe through the PayPal Giving Fund (a 501c3 charity).
How this is going to work
Simply put, the more money raised, the more stuff I'm going to do. In the spirit of MJ, this is going to be fun!
Here's what I have in mind, on February 20th:
If we have raised $1, I will buzz my head.
If we have raised $1,000, I will wear an ugly Cat sweater for a week.
If we have raised $2,500, I will shave my beard.
If we have raised $5,000, I will eat a full habenero pepper.
If we have raised $10,000, I will jump in Lake Michigan.
Everything will be posted to YouTube for your viewing pleasure.
