<div>I am raising funds on behalf of Firefighter Neil Fisher and his family, who are long-standing and highly respected members of our local community. Neil has proudly served with the Balaklava Country Fire Service for 53 years and remains an active and dedicated firefighter. Over more than five decades, Neil has responded to hundreds of incidents, consistently putting his own safety on the line to protect others across our region and the wider South Australian community.

<div>On 24 January 2026 at 4:33 pm, Neil and his family lost everything when a fire completely destroyed their home. This devastating loss has left them without their house, personal belongings, and essential household items.

<div>The funds raised through this appeal will go directly to supporting the Fisher family as they begin the long process of rebuilding. Donations will be used to assist with immediate living expenses, including temporary accommodation, clothing, food, and essential household items. Funds will also help cover rebuilding and recovery costs, such as replacing furniture, appliances, personal possessions, and contributing toward construction and associated expenses not covered by insurance.
