Rescue people never ask for help for their own dogs. Never. But their friends can't stand by and not help. So against what Elizabeth Nargi really wants we are asking her friends for a bit of help.
We all know the famous Marco The Grouch has major expensive heart issues, and Liz gets him the gold standard of care no matter the cost. And we all know the tireless and amazing care Liz provides for both her own senior chis and all the very broken, old rescue throwaways that no one else will care for. You see, Liz, isn't afraid to share her heart with an abandoned old animal, even if she knows that little dog will for sure break her heart with their passing. Sometimes it's even quite soon.
But now suddenly Liz's first chihuahua, her little boy, her whole heart, Ziggy, is in the ICU fighting for his life.
Ziggy has been diagnosed with pericardial effusion and heart failure from an as yet unknown origin and is dependant on an oxygen crate, many medicines, and 24/7 monitoring right now. It's really critical, touch and go, and the specialist cardiologist is coming in to Blue Pearl to run further tests and attempt a care plan.
Have you ever needed to take your pet to the animal emergency hospital at 2 am? If you have you know how quickly the hospital bill starts to snowball.
Ziggy's bills are already taller than Liz, and after all these years of Liz loving the dogs others won't, we need to show her and Ziggy how much we can love them back.
Will you help us help Ziggy and Liz with a few dollars, some couch change? Maybe give up a Starbucks tomorrow for them?
