Medical Care for Remote Communities

Many villages along the Zambezi Delta have no clinic, school or church and most people live by subsistence farming.
We (YWAM Marromeu) partner with Mercy Air who bring a helicopter to Marromeu several times a year, allowing us to transport much needed teams of health care professionals, teachers, preachers and community developers to help those who otherwise would simply not have access to these things.
Through our medical program, we are able to provide life-saving vaccines for children and women, wound-care and family planning and medical consults. We also bring out any patients who need urgent medical care and get them to the nearest rural hospital and take care of them during their treatment.
$25 covers the cost of our contribution towards a return flight to a village where we would offer medical care, education, agricultural support and church discipleship programs.
$35 would cover the costs of our contribution towards patient aftercare.
$50 would cover wound care supplies for a 10-day medical outreach.
