A mother’s courageous fight

Please help support the Bunkers family. Emergency brain surgery will be a tremendous cost for this humble family. They need all the help and support they can get. The money raised will help alleviate the costly burdens the Bunker family will face because of this tragedy. It's our goal to raise money to help with medical expenses, bills and the cost of any care the children may need while the family focuses on Yvonne's recovery, which will be about 4-6 months.

Yvonne Bunkers is the most compassionate, caring person I know. she is an amazing wife and mother of three wonderful children. Sharell 12, Trenton 11 and Jazlynn 5.  Yvonne is my best friend and I admire her so much.

On March 29th 2018 Yvonne was experiencing severe headaches, as she has often dealt with over the past few years. She checked herself into the ER where an MRI of her brain was performed. The diagnoses, a brain tumor the size of a baseball had attached itself to a major artery in her brain.

On March 30th she was transported to Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix with her husband Randy by her side where they would schedule an emergency surgery of the brain to attempt to remove the tumor on March 31st .

My husband and I had the great privilege of picking up her 3 children, running them by their home to pack bags for themselves as well as their mother and father. On the drive down to  Phoenix we were amazed by how strong her children were. They shared their thoughts feelings and fears on the ride down about their mother and the surgery she was going to have. They were strong for each other and full of hope, love and optimism. They shared funny stories about their mother and even mentioned that mom would be the one to remain strong for them all throughout this process, and she was exactly that!

We arrived at Barrow and spent time with Yvonne who was everything her friends and family could imagine she would be. Strong, poised and positive sharing information about the upcoming surgery. She was open and honest with her children about what was going to happen and they shared many embraces. Although tears were present, the strength Yvonne possesses didn't allow for the mood to shift from a warm and happy place.

March 31st 7am Yvonne was prepped for her 6+ hour surgery. She shared hugs with  her family and with her husband by her side all the way to the operating room doors where  she went alone into surgery, with a smile. She is currently in the operating room where the neurosurgeon is working hard to remove the rumor from her brain. God is with her and her friends and family are saying many prayers for her.

"Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise."   - Jeremiah 17:14

Thank you for taking the time to keep Yvonne and the Bunkers family in your thoughts and prayers!

Anything you can donate will help and a "share" is just as valuable.

Please take the time to share Yvonne's story and say a prayer for her and the family!
