My name is Millie Kim, A Fiance and stay at home mother of a 5year old girl and a 2month old boy. We are one of the many victims of hurricane harvey located in Houston, TX that unfortunately lost everything.

It may sound funny but we tried so hard to "fight" the rain. We tarped our doors and sealed it with nails. All of the sandbags were out of stock so we bought cement bags and wrapped them in trash bags to prevent it from getting wet, we even took our bag of rice to add onto our barrier. Me and fiance took turns keeping watch for the rising water at night, It was one of the longest nights ive ever experienced. Fortunately we were able to get out on time but because of our apartment being located near the barker reservoir it is now flooded and we are now told that it may take months for the water clear.

We lost our home and our cars, We don't know what to do but to keep moving forward for our kids, Please anything will help us.
