GRADUATION NIGHT FOR YOUNG MOMS

Youville Center is an amazing high school where young mothers are able to complete their education while their babies attend daycare on site. They provide the girls with every tool necessary to succeed as a parent and in life.
Because the school is small and the girls are staggered in age and completion dates, sadly the school does not have a prom. In my opinion, these girls value graduating more than anyone. They have overcome every possible hurdle and reason not to succeed.
We looked into the option of creating a prom or even a typical "after party" type cruise, however because there are so few of them, the cost would be astronomical. Not to mention the outfits, and hair and make up etc. After speaking to the girls, I also found out that it is not what they really wanted. It appears that they want what almost every mom wants.....R&R! (Rest and Relaxation)
It seems that they would most enjoy in lieu of a PROM is an evening (right after their graduation ceremony) at Le Nordik Spa. They would be able to sit back with all the girls they have been going to school with and get pampered, even if only for one night. (Hey they have to get home to the sitter too unlike most grads) Unfortunately the majority of the girls are on their own with their baby, going to high school and do not have the means to pay for anything like this.
We are hoping you would help give a BIG GIANT CONGRATULATIONS to Youville Centre's 2017 Graduating Class by donating to this fund. We are so proud of how far they have all come to achieve this goal that so many take for granted.
My husband and I are arranging transportation for the girls to and from Nordik (from Ottawa). This is planned for June 23, 2017
