OVERVIEW:

With the popularity and excitement of the game of pickleball being one of the fastest growing outdoor games in the country, we are looking to  expand the York Paddle Tennis Club in York, Maine to include Pickleball to create a year-round source of sporting and social activity at our club.  Our Summer, 2019 Pickleball Program, demonstrated that the local area including York, Kittery, Eliot and Wells, Maine are not fulfilling the demand.  There appears to be no limit to what a dedicated Pickleball program could do to support our community and the surrounding communities via weekly learn-to-play clinics, drop-in play, leagues, skill level clinics, and tournaments.  Our facility is perfectly positioned to take advantage of this opportunity due to its location, flexibility and functionality.

GOAL: 

The cost of this project from construction-to-play are estimated to be approximately $86,000 which includes court construction and surfacing, fencing, netting, landscaping and parking.  We reached our goal to raise $50,000 by April 30th, 2020 through individual and corporate donorships via this GoFundMe Page and we closed on bank financing to make up the remainder of funding. Construction has begun with an expected opening for play by the 4th of July, so exciting!  We'd like to continue the fundraising in the hopes of an additional court or perhaps lighting and an outdoor viewing fire pit area etc. We are up for suggestions on the details of the next steps.

INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS:

No donation is too small so please consider donating $10, $100, or more as you are able. All donations can be anonymous so that your name does not appear on this GoFundMe page. If you are ready for a more significant contribution we have offered various individual and corporate levels below which also can be anonymous so that your name does not appear on the GoFundMe page. The administrators of the GoFundMe will be able to see the source of donations so that tiered donations receive credit for memberships etc.

TIER 1 DONOR LEVEL PICKLEBALL MEMBERSHIP:  Includes on-line court reservations, court usage, drop-ins, social mixers, learn-to-play and intermediate/advanced free clinics, 1/2 day paid camps, use of hut and parking.

- Single Membership $250 paid via GoFundMe Donations
- Family Membership $375 paid via GoFundMe Donations

TIER 2 DONOR LEVEL PICKLEBALL MEMBERSHIPS:  The tier of donation amounts below help us achieve our fundraising goals while providing you with a nominal membership in return.  Your support of this endeavor to build an exciting and fun pickleball venue for all of our community to enjoy is greatly appreciated.

- Bronze Level - $500 – includes 1-year SINGLE pickleball membership
- Silver Level - $1000 – includes 2-year SINGLE or FAMILY membership
- Gold Level - $2000 – includes 2-year SINGLE or FAMILY membership + $50 in pickleball merchandise
- Platinum Level - $5000 – includes 3-year SINGLE or FAMILY membership + $100 in pickleball merchandise
- Diamond Level - $10, 000 – includes 3-year SINGLE or FAMILY membership + $200 in pickleball merchandise and a court honorary naming

CORPORATE DONOR LEVELS:  All corporate donors will have a logo on the York Paddle Tennis Club website and be included in all weekly member emails. Corporate donors also have an option to receive a coupon book of "drop-in round robin play" to share with hotel guests, clients, etc. 

- Bronze Level - $500
- Silver Level - $1000
- Gold Level - $2500 – includes a 10% discount on employee memberships
- Platinum Level - $5000 – includes a 15% discount on employee memberships
- Diamond Level - $10,000 – includes a yearly tournament/event to recognize the partnership and all proceeds generated from the event go to a charity of the donor’s choice.

HOW TO GIVE:

3) PayPal -- give directly to our PayPal account at paypal.me/YorkPaddleTennisClub  

4) Mail a Check -- simply make your check payable to York Paddle Tennis Club and mail to York Paddle Tennis Club - PO Box 241 - York Harbor, ME 03911-0241

Note if you contribute to us directly we will save the 2.9% + $.30 transaction  fee.  All donations will go in its entirety to this Pickleball Project to pave 4 pickleball courts. Your donation will still appear on the GoFundMe page which can be anonymous or public as you prefer. This is great because it will show the overall financial progress towards out goal but will not expose your name if you choose anonymous.

We will provide a receipt for all donations and can also provide refunds in the event that the project does not reach its goal.
