Yoga LOVE for pregnant folks with HunterDae

Let's Do this!

I am sooo Delighted to share that I will be training to become a Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga instructor this Spring! I am excited to learn more about the anatomy and physiology of pregnant bodies with MOVEMENT!

If you are a client of mine we talk a lot about the ways that our bodies are soft and strong, our bodies change, and how to affirm what we already "know" through our lived experience ...Here is another opportunity to expand my knowledge and offer more to our communities!

I will be immersed in 85 Hours of YOGA perfection, and developing a practice that will both stay with me, but also be available to you and your loved ones.

Why Yoga?

Because movement helps support strength and  flexibility through pregnancy and labor and helps with recovery in postpartum.

Because breathwork keeps stress and anxiety at bay, and supports respiratory health and circulation.

Because Asanas (Postures/Positions in yoga) support the posture of the birthing person and constant changes in the body.  These postures support body alignment of joints, and work with our muscles and ligaments to relieve/prevent aches and support  the baby(ies) position for birth.

Because how much time do we take to be with ourselves and our thoughts on a daily basis? Or with other gestating/carrying/pregnant folks/families? (so why not?)

Because how many times have you thought...Why does this feel this way? Is this normal? What can I do? (while pregnant, but also just in general lol).

Because in postpartum sometimes you need community or moments to reflect and supportive spaces to recover/process.

Because I want to encourage spaces of wellness and celebration for Queer/Trans/Black/Brown/Poor/Body conscious parents instead of reinforcing typical perinatal stress...

Support YOGALove for all my friends!!

Who am I and what is the deal?

I am a Parent of toddler twins, a Birth Doula,  Certified Lactation Counselor(CLC), and a Childbirth Educator pending certification serving NYC.
I am a Brooklyn, NY native offering services of support and care for Black and Brown folks, and Queer/ Trans/Non-binary/Intersex folks. My practice affirms fat bodies, and is trauma responsive and focused on supportive healing for folks with a history of trauma.

I am not a "Space holder" because I believe in undoing oppression and violence with communal advocacy and community education.  I feel it is paramount to collectively work in community to push back from the margin and encourage folks to TAKE space for themselves, while on the mat, in perinatal care, and through their experience in parenting!

This Training is the first part of my movement focused expansion. Late Spring I will also start a 200hr yoga teacher training with Yoga Roots on Location  that I will also be fundraising for.

IF you have landed here on this page, please give!
Your donation helps me to attend these trainings and offer these services free and low-cost.
This fundraiser is community sponsored for community use!
If you give... then you receive!
My current Birth doula practice is fee scaled to offer access to community.

Prenatal and Postnatal yoga offerings generally look the same...and don't often feel welcoming to: Black Identified, Queer identified, Gender non-binary identified, Trans Identified, Fat identified folks.
It often is also not accessible for folks working through trauma, or financial burden.

My commitment to creating this practice is to offer opportunities for each of these communities both individually as well as intersectionally
