Yehia Hamza

The Gofundme people have asked me to provide more information on this site in the interest of transparency.  So here it is.

My name is Lawton Hawkins.  I am raising money on behalf of Yehia Hamza, the 8 year old son of our squash pro Ahmed Hamza, Yehia was recently diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma and is currently undergoing treatment. I believe Ahmed has health insurance through the Club, but even so, expenses pile up. He may also have to cut back on lessons he spends more time with his son.  We want him to be able to do this without worrying that he will be unable to pay his bills.  Hence this campaign.
 
Once I get approval from the people at the Gofundme site, I will send Ahmed an inviation.  He will then provide his bank details and the like, at which time he alone will have access to distributions from the funds you have all so generously contributed.

I spoke with Ahmed on February 19, and told him that we were rasing money for his son.  He was extremely grateful.  I too am very grateful for the outpouring of support from some many of you.
