Dear family and friends,
I am so excited to share with you the opportunity that God has blessed me with! In one month I will travel to New Zealand to participate in a Discipleship Training School through the organization Youth With A Mission (also known as YWAM). My Discipleship Training School is the Ski and Snowboard DTS.
This program provides me an opportunity to connect my relationship with Jesus to my love for the sport of snowboarding. I will be strengthening and challenging my relationship with God for the first three months of this trip through weekly lectures and weekend trips to the mountain for snowboarding. I will be learning how to lead and disciple others during this lecture phase.
After the first three months of the lecture portion, I will then travel to another country for an outreach phase. (The country will be determined toward the completion of the lecture phase.) This will allow me to practice and apply the skills I have learned during the lecture portion.
I am more than excited to be participating in this venture, but I would be so thrilled if you would join this journey with me! Please pray for me as I embrace this journey and that my heart will be open to all that God puts before me. Pray for those I encounter along the way and that I will impact the lives of others in a positive and Christ-like way. Please pray that this experience will transform my life so that I may transform the lives of others.
I would also love if you might consider joining me by giving financially. The cost for the first portion of this trip is $6,000. It will provide for my total cost of living as well as my travel costs. Please donate as you feel led and know that I value any contribution, even if it is only through prayer.
