Send Y2Y teens to 2017 Conference

Youth 2 Youth aka Y2Y is an OHS club of teen leaders who are drugfree. The monies raised by this fundraiser will be used to pay tuition costs for up to 23 OHS Y2Y teens to attend a 4-day Youth to Youth Leadership Conference held this summer at Bryant College in Rhode Island. At the Y2Y Conference the teens will meet and hear amazing leadership speakers, they will meet teens from all over the northeast, they will live on a college campus for 4 days and they will come back to OHS and work with the Y2Y club to promote a drug and alcohol free lifestyle and wellness amongst their peers. This year we are thrilled that 6 of our OHS Y2Y teens were selected to be "youth leaders" at the conference, and Alice Joselow from Ossining Communities That Care will also be an adult leader.

We are grateful that the Westchester County STOP DWI office will provide a free bus for our teens to get up and back from the conference in Rhode Island and that the Ossining Police Department is providing Shelly Farrell to chaperone the teens at the conference. This year, we have 23 teens who would like to attend the conference and the tuition is $425 per teen. Each teen is raising $75 themselves. We need to raise the money asap by early July so that we can pay the tuition costs for the Y2Y teens. You will be funding the leadership development of our Y2Y teens as they become empowered to come back to OHS as youth leaders who will promote wellness and an alcohol & drug-free lifestyle for their peers. This is an investment in youth development and one that will will be transformative and impactful for every teen from OHS Y2Y who attends. Thanks in advance for your support.
