Christmas Call of Duty - Be a Hero for a Hero who needs you:
Feed a veteran suffering from PTSD on Christmas Day and beyond for $10 a day.
"John" is one of many veterans who is no longer homeless. No longer hopeless. No longer alone thanks to Five Star Veterans Center.
At a time when our nation is struggling to provide minimum services to our returning military, John is finally getting the help he deserves from a community he served and protected. HOW CAN $10 HELP?
Will you help Five Star Veterans Center with a donation of $10 - the cost of providing 3 meals a day to our heroes? Your gift will be priceless to our veterans.Five Star Veterans Center
is a unique, nonprofit homeless center for our nation's heroes. Located in NE Florida, I have seen how they provide comprehensive, life altering management to every soldier: providing wraparound services, intensive case management and counseling that promotes mental and physical wellness, as well as "three square meals"
a day. 5 Star is much more than a homeless center.
Your gift will continue to make it possible for the military residents to be treated with the dignity, compassion and respect they deserve as they recover from PTSD, tramatic brain injuries and other complications. The 5 Star "Passport to Independence" program re-integrates these heroes back into the society whose freedoms they fought to protect.WHY GIVE?
John and the other men and women in the 5 Star Program depend solely on the generosity of tax deductible contributions from citizens and organizations like the Delores Barr Weaver Fund at the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida
to aid in their recovery. Please join us in continuing to make success stories for these brave who put their lives on the line for America.
The center is run by Col. Len Loving (USMC, retired), his wife, Suzie and a staff of six. The Colonel was recently honored by the Jacksonville Chamber as the 2015 Veterans of Influence
for his selfless work with Five Star Veterans.
Let's make it a Merry Christmas for some of our most deserving national heroes.
