Mural! Woodstock Visual Peace

Tax deductible
Artist Julia Santos Solomon and the congregation of Christ’s Lutheran Church have come together to create a mural that invites reflection and peacefulness for the Woodstock community.

We are asking for your help to make this vision a reality!

The mural, entitled Visual Peace, will be painted on the side of Christ’s Lutheran Church’s Fellowship Hall, located between Deanie’s Alley and Mill Hill Road, and will act as an invitation to passerby to enjoy a time of tranquility among the artwork and the flowers of the church garden. Using light as a metaphor, Visual Peace will illuminate and highlight the aspects of our world worth cherishing. The imagery will be inspired by our beautiful, local geography such as the Ashokan Reservoir and other surrounding waters.

“As we live in a time where it is so easy to feel lost in darkness, we want to inspire hope and renewal through public art,” states Julia Santos Solomon. “We will encourage the community to bring their neighbors and enjoy this spot together and hopefully absorb a serene moment through art and nature.”

All donation funds will help pay for:
