Wish for Walter
Donation protected
Walter Garcia, our beloved Sunday 5:30pm Team Leader, has been our unsung hero at St. Monica Church for over thirty years. In fact, he rarely misses a Sunday. Walt can be best be described as a very warm, kind-hearted and thoughtful individual who does God’s work with the utmost of grace and humility. He is our faithful and committed anchor, a beacon of light and inspiration for all of us.
Three and a half weeks ago, Walt was stricken with a devastating stroke. That Wednesday night as we gathered in the hospital to pray the rosary, Walt underwent brain surgery to stem further damage. While his progress has been miraculous, he remains hospitalized with a long journey ahead of him.
Our hope is that Walt experiences a successful recovery with minimal financial burden and stress. With that being said, it is now our turn to give thanks as a loving community for all Walt has done for St. Monica. We are raising funds to cover his medical recovery, rent, utilities and future household expenses. We are asking for donations, no matter how big or small, to help cover as many expenses as we can anticipate.
Our wish for Walter is that everything will be in place when he returns home. As well, we ask for your continued prayers, love and support for Walt’s full recovery. Thank you and God bless!
