West Brooklyn Community High School is a small, progressive, transfer high school located in Brooklyn, NY.
In February 2014 we hosted our first annual Winter Gala to raise funds for our Zishan Rafi Memorial Scholarship Fund. Our scholarship fund is named for one of our amazing, bright, and dedicated students who we lost before his graduation. To honor Zishan's legacy we created an opportunity to support our future graduates with small financial gifts. For the past two years we have been able to provide small scholarships to members of our graduating class for their post-secondary goals.
The 2014 recipients each secured a $1,000 scholarship towards their college costs. Jorge Muñoz and Annalisa Gordon were able to purchase a laptop and tablet, respectively to take with them for their first year at college.
For our 2015 graduating class we would like to offer more students the opportunity to earn this scholarship-- and with your help, we can make it happen!
Through our Go Fund Me site, you are able to purchase tickets to our gala, or donate directly to the Zishan Rafi Memorial Scholarship Fund.
