Winifred’s Rescue

Donation protected
On March 4, 2018, my fiancé and I found a dog with no collar in our neighborhood. She was emaciated, dirty and hunched over in pain, so once we finally caught her we took her into the vet. After finding that she had no chip, I posted her on the missing dog site in our city and went door-to-door in our neighborhood to no avail. We’ve started calling her Winifred because she’s super dignified and classy (after a couple of baths).
I could tell that she was having some medical issues and knew that since she was so frail, she wouldn’t be adopted at a shelter, so we’ve taken her in for the time being while we find her a home. We’ve been to the vet and already spent $500 and found that her bladder is twice the size it should be and is completely filled with stones, plus she’s got a lot of dental work that needs to be done/teeth that need to be pulled; the vet expects that the surgery (ranging anywhere from $1500 to $2500) to be quick and give her a great quality of life!
I’m not one to ask for help, but my fiancé has been studying for the bar the last two months and hasn’t been working, so we’ve been down to one income and it’s tight around here right now. This dog is a wonderful girl and it kills me to think that someone may have dumped her because of her medical issues.
I’ve found her a home who will take care of her if we can get her well, so literally anything you can do helps! I appreciate any/everything you can do! Thanks for reading!
